WORLD LANGUAGES

Most Springton Lake Middle School students begin their language experience in sixth grade, studying both French and Spanish for two semesters each.

As a seventh grader, students will continue studying the language of their choice.

Upon successful completion of either French or Spanish at the regular eighth grade level, the student already will have fulfilled the first year of their high school graduation requirement for World Language.

Eighth Grade Entry Level Spanish is offered for students without prior or sufficient language experience.

An Introductory to Spanish course is being piloted for 8th grade Special Education students, preparing them to begin the language for credit at Penncrest High School.
