Please note that I have updated this site to add resources for students and parents to access during this extended school closure due to COVID-19. I will continue to update; please contact me or check back if/when you want additional resources.
Parents/guardians: I know this is a stressful time for all families right now. I know that there are worries, and that managing jobs, the household and your children’s schooling simultaneously is difficult. My goal is to support your child and provide resources to you and your child during this time. I do not want to add stressful "to-dos" to your plate. If it's helpful for you to have more to do, please let me know.
Please email me at any time with any questions, concerns or just to connect. I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are doing well.
Students: Keep talking and sharing at home. Use your best speech, vocabulary and sentences. Include all your words and sounds. Be a good listener and 'social detective'. Ask for help when you need it.
Remember that it's okay and normal to feel frustrated, mad, unhappy, bored, lonely, etc. Use your words to say how you feel with a respectful voice. Take a break, use your strategies and get some alone time when you need it.
Try to read, get some fresh air and exercise every day. Is there a hobby you want to try?
I hope that you are doing well!
Take good care!
