Money magazine has identified the Rose Tree Media School District as one of the top public school systems in affordable housing markets in the United States. The district has also been selected, for seven consecutive years, as the recipient of the "What Parents Want" Award by School Match of Columbus, Ohio, an independent, nationwide service designed to help parents find schools that match the needs of their children. The "What Parents Want" award is given annually to approximately 10 percent of the nation's 15,893 public school systems.
Rose Tree Media students traditionally score considerably higher than national and state averages on standardized achievement tests, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education has commended the district for maintaining consistently high student achievement on statewide achievement tests.
