If You Test Positive for COVID-19 (Isolate)

   Everyone, regardless of vaccination status

  • Stay home for 5 days, day 0 is the date of symptom onset or if no symptoms, day 0 is the date the covid test was administered. 
  • If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house and return to school
  • Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days
  • Upon return to school, students will be required to eat lunch distanced at 6 feet for an additional 5 days. This may require your child to eat lunch in a specified location other than the lunchroom.

If you have a fever, continue to stay home until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication(Tylenol, Ibuprofen)

Fully vaccinated means a student who is 2-weeks past their 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine , or for adults-2 weeks past their 2nd dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or their 1st dose of the J & J vaccine.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 (Quarantine)

Unvaccinated Household Contact

  • Stay home and quarantine for five days, day 0 is the last exposure to a positive household member
  • May return to school on day 6 if asymptomatic and a negative COVID test on or after day 5
  • Cannot return with a pending test
  • May get a COVID test at Test-to-Stay on day 6 if asymptomatic
  • If the individual becomes symptomatic, must submit a negative PCR COVID test or stay home for an additional five days after the start of symptoms
  • Upon return to school, students will be required to eat lunch distanced at 6 feet for an additional 5 days. This may require your child to eat lunch in a specified location other than the lunchroom.

Unvaccinated Non-household/Community Contact

  • Stay home and quarantine for five days, day 0 is the last exposure to the positive individual
  • May return to school on day 6 if asymptomatic
  • Test on day 5 is recommended but not required
  • Student may not return with a pending test
  • If becomes symptomatic, must submit a negative PCR COVID test or stay home for an additional five days after the start of symptoms
  • Upon return to school, students will be required to eat lunch distanced at 6 feet for an additional 5 days. This may require your child to eat lunch in a specified location other than the lunchroom.

Unvaccinated In-School Close Contact

  • Must be picked up from school if notified during school hours
  • Eligible for Test-to-Stay program
  • Test before school the day after exposure and then on day 3-4 and on day 5.
  • If becomes symptomatic must stay home and isolate for 5 days or submit a negative PCR test to return to school
  • Students will be required to eat lunch distanced at 6 feet for an additional 5 days. This may require your child to eat lunch in a specified location other than the lunchroom.

Fully Vaccinated Close Contact

  • May attend school while wearing a mask
  • Test on day 5 is recommended but not required (may attend school with pending test)
  • Monitor for symptoms of COVID
  • If the individual becomes symptomatic, must submit a negative PCR COVID test or stay home for an additional five days after the start of symptom
  • Students will be required to eat lunch distanced at 6 feet for an additional 5 days. This may require your child to eat lunch in a specified location other than the lunchroom.

Symptomatic student with no known exposure (regardless of vaccination status)

  • Stay home and schedule a covid test.
  • If you get a negative Covid test before 5 days, you may return to school as long as your symptoms have resolved.
  • If you cannot schedule a test or your test results are pending and the symptoms resolve within 5 days, you may return to school on day 6.
