Mission: To assist individuals with severe disabilities to obtain, retain or prepare for competitive employment.
Services: OVR is a state agency that helps eligible students with disabilities prepare for, get or keep a job. The student, family member or school personnel may refer a student to the program. Ideally students should be referred two years prior to graduation. Students under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to release the appropriate information to OVR. Eligibility is based on the student’s disability and its effect on the ability to prepare for, get, or keep a job. After being accepted into the program, a counselor works with the student to select an employment goal and develop a plan to achieve the goal.
