To identify those students who may be eligible for gifted support services, the Rose Tree Media School District conducts ongoing screening activities. Beginning in April 2007, The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test was administered as one tool to assist with screening for further gifted assessment.
The NNAT2 is a nonverbal assessment which is culturally fair and is designed to assess individual student ability regardless of intervening factors such as English as a Second Language, socioeconomic status, academic achievement, or reading level.
