Chess Club

4th and 5th-grade students learn how to play chess and participate in a club tournament.

Chess club meets on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 in September to November.

Art Club

Art club will be held for grades 3-5 this year. Each session will last for 8-10 weeks.

• Third grade will focus on intensive visual arts. (October-December)
  
• Fourth grade art club will focus on visual arts as well as digital arts. (January-February)
  
• Fifth grade art club will focus on supporting the musical through set and prop design. (March-May)

Reading Olympics

Students will read and discuss a wide selection of books in preparation for the Spring DCIU Reading Olympics competition. 

Reading Olympics meets on select Mondays from 3:45-4:45 in November through March.

Select Choir

Select Choir is a club for fourth and fifth-grade students with an interest in singing.

Meets before school from 8:00-8:40AM.

Rose Tree Rumble

Rose Tree Rumble is a recycled percussion ensemble for fifth graders.  Students perform on buckets, brooms, boomwhackers, cans, steel pans, and more.

4th & 5th Grade Band

Band at Rose Tree ES is open to any 4th or 5th grade student interested in learning how to play a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument. Lessons are during CE in small groups. 

Both the 4th and 5th grade bands perform concerts as a large ensemble in addition to their regularly scheduled lessons.
