Who says there is no such thing as a free lunch?

Everyone Eats for Free
All students 18 years old and under

The U.S. Secretary of Agriculture recently announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will extend several flexibilities for school meals throughout the remainder of 2020-2021 school year. We are now able to serve breakfast for secondary school students (grades 6-12), and lunch for all children in the community age 18 and under for free.

Beginning on Monday, October 26, 2020, the Rose Tree Media School District will begin offering a FREE breakfast (to secondary students) and Free lunch (entrée, milk, fruit and vegetable) to each student for every instructional day.

We will also be offering meals for students to take home and enjoy on days when they are remote learning.  We encourage all families to take advantage of this great program. A la carte items are not included in the free lunch program, and will still be available for sale in our cafeterias.

We remain committed to providing students access to healthy, nutritious and wholesome meals while assuring the utmost food safety without compromising quality. Please feel free to contact Becky Smith, Food Service Director if you have any questions. (Contact information below)
