Are you looking for a small way to make a big difference? The library serves all grade levels and our collection requires regular care and maintenance. Library volunteers are extremely important to the success of the Media Elementary School Library and there are lots of ways that you can make a difference including:
- DAILY OPPORTUNITIES: Volunteers are welcome daily from 8:45-10:00 a.m. to facilitate the check-in process, reshelve books, and cull or care for our collection.
- WEEKLY OPPORTUNITIES: If you are coming in for a class time, please come a few minutes before the class begins. An important role during this time will be helping with student book selection and checking out books on the computer system. You may also come in a little early or stay a little late to help with checking in and shelving books, if you choose.
- ONE-TIME OPPORTUNITIES: Parents are welcome to help out during special events like author visits, Poem in Your Pocket, or Media Cafe. These volunteer opportunities are great for parents who have limited availability, but want to make a huge impact on the learning community.
- SPUR-OF-THE-MOMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Feel free to stop by whenever you have a few minutes to spare.
Before coming in to volunteer in the library, please be sure to complete all the necessary clearances and submit these to our office. For more information, click here. Feel free to email me with questions or to request a brief training session: email@example.com.
