No Place For Hate Climate Survey

Our school is committed to making your child's school culture strong and positive. To achieve this, we are participating in a pilot of ADL's No Place for Hate program, which focuses on improving school climate. As part of this pilot, ADL will also be conducting an evaluation of the program to ensure that it is implemented well and achieves its desired impacts.

The main component of the study is a survey that will be given to your child this fall and next spring. The fall survey will be administered during the week of October 21st. The survey seeks to better understand the culture in your child’s school and whether there are any issues around biased behavior or bullying. The survey will in no way identify your child and no identifying information about your child or school staff will be used in any report that comes from these surveys.

You can find more information about the program here: https://www.adl.org/who-we-are/our-organization/signature-programs/no-place-for-hate. If for some reason you do not want your child to participate in this survey, please print out, sign the attached form and have your child drop it in the box for opt out letters in the main office.  Forms should be returned no later than October 18, 2019.

If you have questions about the study or the surveys, you may contact the Principal Investigator, Mia Steinberg, Ph.D. at msteinberg@adl.org or 202-851-3393.
