Celebrating "American Education Week", we invite all parents and guardians to visit Glenwood and experience a 'typical morning' with your student

Kindergarten and 1st grade students will entertain you by singing some of their favorite tunes, reading a favorite book, and showing off some of their projects and work.  You will meet them in their homeroom.

2nd grade students will treat their parents and guardians to a short program, sharing what they have learned about “Communities”.  Parents will stay in the cafeteria as the students perform on stage, after the presentation guests may follow the 2nd graders to their classrooms.

3rd, 4th & 5th grade students will include their guests in various portions of their day.  Some will be Writing, some classes may hold their “Morning Meeting”, and some will be going to Math class.  Plan to meet up with your student in their homeroom, in some cases your child will switch classrooms for math.

            November 20                      Kindergarten K-2             9:30 A.M. – 10:45 A.M.
                                                        Kindergarten PM               1:30 P.M. –   2:30 P.M.
            November 22                      Grades 3-5                        9:30 A.M. – 10:45 A.M.

Please note:  If you have children at more than one grade level, please feel free to move from one classroom to another.  This is a visitation and not a time for a conference with teachers about your individual child/children.  Of course, if you have questions regarding your child’s progress, conferences will be held November 25th and 26th.  You will find the sign up link on our website.  We ask that you honor two requests.  Do not bring younger children with you during Open House.  Since instruction is taking place, young guests distract from the learning process.  Also, for this reason no video cameras or recording devices are permitted during classroom visitation.  Feel free to park in the lot in front of the school or in the lot in the back.  Access to the back lot is off Lenni Road.  Do not park in the Fire Lanes or along the yellow curb area.  Parking is limited, so please car pool if possible.   Thank you for your cooperation.  We look forward to seeing you!
