    Class of 2022

    Attention Freshmen.  Tickets for Frosh are on sale today only.  Tickets will be sold during lunch.  Cost is $10 per ticket.  No tickets will be sold after today.  If you're planning on bringing a guest from another school, you must submit the Dance Guest Form which can be found on the Student Portal.  See Mr. Mescanti if you have any questions.

     

    AP Exams

    If you plan to take an AP Exam in May, you must register and pay by Friday, February 22nd. The cost for each AP exam is $94 and $142 for the AP Capstone exam. Checks must be made payable to Rose Tree Media School District. Cash and money orders are also acceptable. Visit the PHS website or Guidance webpage for the link to the AP Registration form in order to register for your desired exams. The link is available now. Registrations are not final until your payment is submitted to Mrs. Naismith in the Career Center located within the Guidance Suite.

    Penncrest Jazz Night

    Penncrest Jazz Night is this Saturday night beginning at 6PM. Bands from nine different schools, including Springton Lake and our own Penncrest Jazz Band, will be performing, along with a band comprised entirely of Penncrest Alumni. The evening concludes with a professional jazz quintet led by Tony Deangelis and featuring internationally known jazz recording artist Timothy Warfield. Tickets for the event are sold that evening, and proceeds benefit the Penncrest Band program.

     

    Food Drive

    The Educational Support Personnel Association wants to commend all those who supported our collection for the Media Food Bank. We delivered six boxes of food!  Go Lions!

    LifeSkills Classes

    The Penncrest Special Olympics Unified bocce team will be competing against Sun Valley in the Kaufman Gymnasium this afternoon. Please consider staying after school that day to enthusiastically cheer on the athletes and their partners as they compete in this fun and inspiring event! 

     

    Boys & Girls Basketball

    Boys and Girls Basketball will be selling tee shirts and collecting money for Coaches vs. Cancer at lunches today.
    The boys are hosting rival Lower Merion tonight for 1st place in the Central League.
    So, calling all dog pound! Let's go !!!!!

     

    Penncrest Jazz Night

    Penncrest Jazz Night is this Saturday night beginning at 6PM.     National Honor Society/Red Cross Blood Drive

    Give Blood, Give Life! The National Honor Society's annual Blood Drive is right around the corner and we need your help! Registration to become a donor begins this week. All students in 6th period lunch will attend an important and informative assembly during your long lunch today. Your fellow students will share about the importance of Blood Donation and tell you how to sign up to Give Life! 

     

    Interact Club

    There will be an Interact Meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in A113. All members should do their best to attend. 

     

    Fair Trade Club

    There will be a midterm study event open to all Penncrest students in the library from 2:30-4 this afternoon. Honor society tutors will be available to help you review and Fair Trade snacks will be served.

    If you plan to attend the Freshman Formal, pay attention to the following announcement:  you will not be allowed to purchase a ticket for yourself or for a guest who has an overdue library book or fine.  Please stop by the library to take care of any obligations as soon as possible.  Library staff will also be on hand at the ticket table in the cafeteria.

    Guidance

    A college admissions representative from Wheeling Jesuit University will be visiting the Career Center tomorrow at 12:30 pm. If you are looking for a university that goes beyond providing an excellent education and prioritizes service to others, this Catholic university in West Virginia may be for you. Sign up on Naviance to meet with the admissions representative. Report to class first, then come to the Career Center.
