The Mustang Chorale is a group of select 4th and 5th grade singers. They rehearse on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:25.
HOME is a fifth grade service-learning organization that meets every other Thursday to complete projects for the school community.
Media Elementary School Chess Club 2017-2018
Chess Club meets many Wednesdays from 3:35-4:25. This club is designed for chess players (grades 2-5) who already know how to play chess and want to use the rules and strategy of chess to play other knowledgeable chess players. Chess players will need to demonstrate interest, stamina, responsibility and respect during play. Students will meet in Room 240/Reading Lab. Sign-up will be announced on e-alert in late October.

Students will need to be picked up promptly at 4:25pm at our MES main entrance. Meeting dates are listed on the school calendar.
Intramural sports program offers a level of instruction beyond that received in the physical education classes. Typically, each session will serve as an extension of the activities featured in the grade level curriculum. Students will benefit from an early introduction to the various sports or games. The program will run from 8:00 – 8:50 AM and after 3:30 - 4:40 PM.
Learning Lab is an after-school invite-only club in Room 233. This club meets on Monday/Thursday for Grades 4-5 and Tuesday/Wednesday for Grades 1-3. Homework is completed with adult help available. Additionally, students have access to computers to work on reading programs like Raz Kids and Kid Biz, and math programs, such as Khan Academy and Pearson Realize. At times, other games and activities are planned to support math facts, reteaching of math skills, sight words, reading fluency, decoding, and listening comprehension.

This club is for students in grades four and five. The club is part of the larger-scale Optimist Club of Media. The club spreads optimism and positivity throughout the community and school by creating and taking part in service projects. This club meets monthly.
