Applications
- Get started by logging into your Naviance account (watch instructions).
- Add ALL colleges to your list of “Colleges I’m Applying To” in Naviance (watch instructions).
- Match your Common App account with Naviance (watch instructions).
- Complete your FERPA Waiver on Common App (view instructions).
- If needed, update your college list in Naviance (watch instructions).
BE AWARE OF APPLICATION DEADLINES! Counselors need at least two weeks to process your applications.
Be sure to answer every question and pay attention to details.

Transcripts
To send an official transcript to a college, students must:
- Print and complete this form and return it to Ms. Craft in the counseling office.
- Request your transcript when you add your colleges to your list in Naviance.

SAT and ACT Scores
- Students must submit their SAT or ACT scores electronically from your College Board or ACT account directly to the colleges to which you are applying.
The Penncrest counseling department does not forward this information.

Letters of Recommendation
Not all colleges accept or require a letter of recommendation. Check the college admission page to confirm.
- Ask your teacher in person if they’d be willing to write your letter of recommendation, then provide them with the Student Brag Sheet for Teacher Letter of Recommendation form. Include any related items that they might need to write a letter for you.
- Request a teacher letter of recommendation through your Naviance account (watch instructions or read instructions).
- If you apply to additional schools after your initial request and need your teacher to send his/her letter to those schools, you must update or add your request in Naviance.
- If you require a counselor letter, please schedule an appointment to meet with your counselor.
