RTMSD Appoints Assistant Principal at Glenwood Elementary

The Rose Tree Media Board of School Directors approved the hiring of Ms. Jeanine Carter-Mbaeri to serve in a dual role as an assistant principal at Glenwood Elementary School and as a supervisor of curriculum and instruction for the district.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Carter-Mbaeri to the Rose Tree Media team,” said RTMSD Superintendent Dr. Joseph Meloche. “She brings a wealth of experience in the education field, and her commitment to student success is unparalleled. We are excited to see Ms. Carter-Mbaeri contributions to Glenwood Elementary and to our district.”

Before joining RTMSD, Carter-Mbaeri was assistant principal and a lead teacher at the Upper Darby School District Kindergarten Center. She has also served as a reading specialist and a literacy coach, has taught kindergarten and first grade, and possesses more than 20 years of experience in education. 

Carter-Mbaeri holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and two masters degrees, in reading and educational leadership, from Widener University. Additionally, she holds a certificate in multisensory reading from Drexel University and is completing a doctorate in educational leadership at Widener University.

“I am honored and extremely excited to be joining the Rose Tree Media School District in these capacities,” said Carter-Mbaeri. “I am committed to collaborating with RTMSD staff, parents, and community members to provide enriching experiences for our students. I look forward to helping all students achieve success in their educational journeys.”
