Why is RTM requiring accidental damage insurance for student devices?
Based on feedback received regarding the cost to families when a district-issued student device is damaged or broken beyond repair, Rose Tree Media is now requiring all families to participate in an accidental damage insurance program for all district-loaned iPads and Chromebooks. Feedback provided the following concerns:
- Increased number of devices damaged district wide
- Great cost to our families (up to $300) when devices are damaged beyond repair
- Increase cost to the District and taxpayer when monies are not collected for device damage and loss
-

What do I do if my device has been damaged, broken, or is not working properly?
All issues related to student devices should be communicated to your child's school Technology Assistant (TA). These individuals will input the damage or loss claim and One2One Risk Solutions will email the parent directions to pay the damage/loss claim.
