Letters from Anne and Martin
On Monday, March 4th students at Springton Lake Middle School attended a presentation from the Anne Frank Center titled "Letters from Anne and Martin". The powerful program combined the voices of Anne Frank & Martin Luther King, Jr. as they described their hopes for a better world for all of us. After the moving performance, students were able to ask questions about the historical figures.

Media - Upper Providence Library
Did you know that the Media - Upper Providence was founded by Women?
The Women's Club of Media started a literary society called "The Wheel" in 1894. In 1901, with Susanna M. Gaskill's as the President of the Media Women's Club, The Media Free Library was opened in one room in the combined Borough Hall and Firehouse building.

Penncrest FARE Group
Celebrating Women's History MonthOn March 13th, The RTMSD's F.A.R.E group (Family Alliance for Respect and Equity) sponsored a panel of amazing women -both RTM faculty advisors and leaders from the local Media Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P.- who are working to create spaces for students of color where they can build connections, experience a strong sense of belonging, and discuss ways to improve the world around us. -
Penncrest Girls Lacrosse
The Penncrest Girls Lacrosse Team was recently ranked #23 on the USA Lacrosse Pre-Season National Rankings. The Lions had a strong season last year making it to the District 1 final and finishing with a record of 21-5.The team is led by five Penncrest Alum: Kathryn Flick (2005), Jackie Baker (2005), Caitlin Morgan (2001), Katie Doyle (2014), and Heather Phillips (2001). Penncrest will kick off their season at home on March 19th against WC Rustin. GO LIONS.Coach Morgan was named by Phillylacrosse Girls' Team Coach of the year in August.
